The fleet make lymington

Time Flies with Ray and Claire aboard slipped their lines at 1100hrs, their mission was to assess the conditions in the Solent. The verdict was flat seas and light winds so the fleet were good to go. Time Flies continued towards Lymington, while back at Mercury the rest of the fleet departed in sunshine. Unexpectedly, the wind in the western Solent picked up considerably, which unfortunately gave the boats an uncomfortable ride. The bumpy 8 mile passage was short-lived, and soon enough the boats were safely tied up in their new surroundings. Tomorrow there will be a new town to explore, beautiful walks to take, and a meal in the Royal Lymington Yacht Club in the evening.

Today the fleet were joined by another two of the participant boats, Broom 42 Joli D from Gosport, and Bayliner 275 Allora from Chichester.

The fleet will remain in Lymington for 2 nights and then the team will look into plans for moving further west, weather permitting.
