The RNLI Photo Competiton Winner was announced yesterday at the Collin Stewart Boat Show
Yesterday the winning entries to the 2007 RNLI Pentax photo competition were announced at the Collins Stewart London Boat Show. The winning photograph was taken by Bobby Renaud, the Area Lifeguard Manager based at Treyarnon beach in Cornwall. The photograph shows the inshore rescue boat battling through the surf during a routine training exercise in the summer of 2007. Competition entries were submitted over the course of the year by RNLI volunteer lifeboat crewmembers and lifeguards. The overall winning image (pictured right) and the runner up images are on display at the RNLI stand N030B. All RNLI lifeboat stations in the UK and Ireland are equipped with digital waterproof Pentax Wpi cameras which allow the lifesavers to capture appropriate high quality images during their life-saving activities.
