Princess Anne attends the London Boat Show and visitor numbers are on the up
Princess Anne wowed the crowds when she attended the show today. As President of the Royal Yacht Association (RHA) she presented the award for Yacht Master of the Year to Robert Queen.
And there is more reason for the BMF to celebrate as, after a slow start on Friday, attendance figures are up, with 14,700 people visiting on Sunday, up 19% from last year. Things slowed down on Monday with 7,475 visitors, on par with last year’s figures, while pre-sales for the remainder of the show are up 14% compared with 2007.
And finally, the Motor Boats Monthly team have made front-page news in the official show newsletter, “Collins Stewart London Boat Show News”. Under an article headlined “The press say “yes!” were quotes from myself , assistant editor Stewart Campbell , and editor Carl Richardson on our impressions of the show, all of which you can read first hand here.
