Striking new coupé from the Polish yard
These are the initial renderings of the new Galeon 385 HT which has been designed by Tony Castro.
This will be third boat which the British naval architect has designed for Galeon, the most recent being the enormous 700 Raptor, and it is one of his most striking efforts yet.
The layout is a standard affair with two cabins, a master ensuite forward and ensuite guest double amidships and a modern galley and saloon in between.
The cockpit is dominated by a huge U-shaped dinette aft, the seating area over transom also raises electronically, revealing a tender garage.
There are two engine options, twin Volvo Penta D4 300hp and Volvo Penta D6 370hp power plants but both set ups will be attached to sterndrives, the largest option should be good for 37 knots flat out.
It’s an outlandish design but the Galeon brand is gaining weight with every model, with a hull that is a development of the solid 325 HT (also a Castro design) the 385 could be one of the best yet from the Polish yard.
