MBM managed to get into the control tower during a locking at St Katharine Docks. The system is gravity fed, so doesn't use any waterpumps to operate, however it does mean that the marina level drops around one inch during each locking.<br><img src="http://www.mby.com/wp-content/uploads/sites/18/2014/06/IMG_5296.jpg"><h2>St Kats</h2>When in the marina complex, it is easy to forget that you're in central London. Only catching a glimpse of iconic buildings, such as The Shard, reminds you where you are.<br><img src="http://www.mby.com/wp-content/uploads/sites/18/2014/06/IMG_5272.jpg"><h2>St Kats</h2>Built in 1858, the Ivory House is the only original building left in the marina. Barges would have moored next to it and unloaded their cargo. The other buildings were bombed during the war or fell into a state of disrepair.<br><img src="http://www.mby.com/wp-content/uploads/sites/18/2014/06/IMG_5301.jpg"><h2>St Kats</h2>The Royal Rowbarge is seen moored in the central basin. He is overseeing the modernisation of the marina and its facilities, including the pontoons, office, toilets and even the quality of the marina water. <br><img src="http://www.mby.com/wp-content/uploads/sites/18/2014/06/IMG_5341.jpg"><h2>St Kats</h2>MBM's Greg Goulding on the bow of <em>Gloriana</em>. The Lithium-Ion batteries power two electric pod drives that can propel the boat for six hours. <br>
