Series widens appeal
Powerboat P1 will be in attending the Dubai International Boat Show to be held at the Dubai International Marine Club in Mina Seyahi on March 3-7. The event is expected to attract over 800 exhibitors and representatives from the marine industry with over 27,000 visitors attending over the four days of the show.US-based hull manufacturer Cigarette will be exhibiting a P1 outfit together with a number of the P1 championship partners and associated sponsor companies.
The Dubai show will mark the debut appearance of Powerboat P1’s new simulator which allows visitors to take a virtual trip in an Evolution-class offshore racing boat using footage from 2008 events.
Representatives from Powerboat P1’s management team will also be on hand to talk to prospective entrants and sponsors seeking involvement in this year’s championship series.
