NBS promise 'the ultimate varied and diverse day out'
National Boat Shows have promised visitors ‘the ultimate varied and diverse day out’ when the Tullett Prebon London Boat Show and Outdoors Show join forces.
The two shows will combine for four days next year from Thursday 13 to Sunday 16 January.
The Outdoors Show, run by VOS Media, has been held at the Birmingham NEC annually since 2002 and is the largest outdoor pursuits consumer show in Europe. The 2009 show saw 31,000 people come through the doors and it is hoped that their passion for outdoor activities could spread to an interest in boats.
Managing director of Naitonal Boat Shows Andrew Williams says: “We are delighted to welcome the Outdoors Show alongside the 2011 Tullett Prebon London International Boat Show. This joint venture forms a significant part of our development for the London show, but it doesn’t end there with a whole host of other enhancements planned.
“The 2011 show will be an immersive, engaging, educational day out for our visitors, with the added benefit of visiting the Outdoors Show over the last four days.
“For our exhibitors there will be the added benefit of thousands of additional visitors interested in outdoor pursuits and may be interested in learning more about boating.”
Combining the boat show with another leisure focused exhibition was one of a stream of possible changes that National Boat Shows announced at the end of the 2010 show, including a possible change of dates and more space to fit superyachts.
Managing director of VOS Media Damian Norman says: “Following nine extremely successful years, we are very excited about moving The Outdoors Show to London and our strategic partnership with National Boat Shows, creating what will be a unique experience for London and the UK.”
