Dutch yard Vanquish Yachts have released ‘teaser ideas’ for a new motoryacht, the VQ75 Veloce.
Building on the success of recent launches the VQ48s and VQ50, the new aluminium version is highly customisable and can be driven by a couple without the need for a crew, unusual in the 75ft range.
The company is talking to customers about their exact requirements but it is still early days in terms of production.
Designed in partnership with Guido de Groot, the VQ75 is a logical next step for Vanquish clients in terms of size and performance.
There are plenty of layout options and several possibilities in terms of engines. It is available as an open day boat or as a closed version.
There will be plenty of room to socialise, sunbathe or relax even for long periods thanks to owner, VIP and two guest cabins.
If a crew cabin is added and the galley is separated from the guests’ quarters, the boat is well-suited to chartering. This flexible layout can also be arranged to create a garage for a VQ16 water scooter.
The VQ75 Veloce comes with surface drives to ‘guarantee’ the claimed 50-knot top speed that makes it one of the fastest motoryachts in its category.
A non-Veloce version of the VQ75 is also available with a less powerful engine configuration, still offering a top speed of ‘around 40 knots’.
Its low-resistance hull is a further development on the VQ48, an open sports boat with the capacity to keep passengers dry at high and low speeds, quiet and rough seas, strong or light winds.
The company has also worked hard on noise insulation to avoid waking owners and their guests or disturbing neighbours The latest stabilizer technology is also an option.
