Deputy Editor Jack Haines guides you through the new boats at the Southampton Boat Show 2016
The Southampton Boat Show 2016 is under way and there is a whole host of new boats on display at Mayflower Park, ranging from 25ft sportsboats to multi-million pound motor yachts.
If you haven’t had a chance to make it to the show yet, our video including some of the hottest new launches at this year’s show should be just the ticket.
It’s an especially exciting year in the 50ft flybridge market with the Sealine F530, Sunseeker Manhattan 52 and Princess 49 all making their UK debuts at Southampton.
Deputy Editor Jack Haines is on hand to take you through a range of show stars from the brilliantly clever Marex 310 to the fabulous Sunseeker 95 Yacht and everything in between.
The Axopar 24 and 37 make their UK debuts, as does the Nimbus 305 Drophead. There is a new Botnia Targa in the shape of the 30.1 and two UK premiers from Bavaria with the R40 and novel E40.
Sealine has its flybridge flagship, the F530, in the UK for the first time and Fairline has a new model of its own in the Targa 53 Open.
We can’t forget these two, either, the Princess 49, which is the Plymouth yard’s first ever production flybridge boat and the eagerly anticipated Sunseeker Manhattan 52, which makes its UK debut after a global launch at Cannes earlier in the month.
The show was opened on Friday by actress Michelle Keegan and press preview day included some other notable events like the launch of the Elling E6 and two new models from Falmouth based RIB manufacturer Ribeye.
So sit back, relax and let us take you around the most important new boats at the Southampton Boat Show from the comfort of your own home.
If you do come down to Mayflower Park, be sure to visit the Motor Boat & Yachting stand (E001) and say hello.
