Cornish boatbuilders Cockwells are unveiling their brand new Duchy 21 open day boat at the Southampton Boat Show.
The boat will sit alongside the brand’s flagship Duchy 27.
Duchy motor launches are classically-designed, handcrafted, semi-production vessels that are created in the Duchy of Cornwall by Cockwells’ craftsmen.
The Duchy 21 has cockpit space for up to 10 guests.
“If you are after the polished styling and relaxed handling of a custom build without the high-end price tag, there is no better boat on the market,” said Cockwells’ founder and managing director, Dave Cockwell.
From custom-made stainless steel fittings, a choice of timber for the interior joinery, upholstery fabric and optional extras, Cockwells go through every detail to ensure each Duchy 21 is exactly how the customer wants it to be.
“A classic yacht for a modern world that chimes perfectly with your way of life,” said Dave.
“From my days as a deckhand on a passenger ship and freelance shipwright to my involvement in the restoration of the historic Underfall yard in Bristol and the founding of Cockwells boatyard there in 1996, it has been quite a voyage,” said Dave.
