The Cranchi Z35 is a very important launch for this historic Italian yard – Jack Haines gets behind the wheel
The weight of expectation behind the Cranchi Z35 is significant, with its predecessor, the Zaffiro 34 shifting more than 1,500 hulls.
Fortunately for Cranchi, this new arrival doesn’t disappoint, with a classic layout, sleek styling and spot-on running attitude.
For this video, we sent MBY deputy editor Jack Haines over to Italy to put the Cranchi Z35 through its paces.
Out on the water, this open sportscruiser achieved a maximum speed of 34 knots when fitted with twin 360hp Volvo Penta D4s, however with engine room space at a premium, you might be better off with a single unit installation.
