In this video, we head over to the Netherlands to put the new Jetten 50 MPC Fly to the test
Jetten is one of the newer Dutch yards, originally established in 1997 as a sub-contractor but now firmly established as a boatbuilder in its own right.
For our April 2016 edition we set out to highlight some of the fresh ideas coming out of the Netherlands and so Jetten seemed like the perfect place to start.
The yard’s latest model, the Jetten 50 MPC Fly sports the looks of a fibreglass boat, despite having a super-tough steel hull.
In this video, Jack Haines steps on board for a test drive and praises the refined, low-revving twin 170hp Vetus engines, which give a comfortable cruising speed of 8.5 knots and a top speed of 10 knots.
Key to the charms of the Jetten 50 MPC Fly is its flexible flybridge, which can be completely enclosed when the weather turns against you.
Below decks, accommodation is split between three cabins, including an amidships master with an angled double bed.
