The London Boat Show isn’t over yet, but the Williams Performance Tenders team are already looking forward to their Cannes launch of the Minijet range
This year’s London Boat Show has been particularly good for those in the market for a small powerboat and Williams has announced that it will soon be going even smaller.
The Oxford-based tender specialist has used the Excel Centre event to reveal its plans for a new range of compact jet boats, which will go by the moniker Minijet.
Due to be launched in September at the Cannes Yachting Festival, the new models will weigh in at just 200kg – around 100kg lighter than the equivalent Turbojet.
This compact design should open up the sub 45ft sector for Williams, which has previously enjoyed great success selling tenders to owners of much larger vessels from the likes of Sunseeker and Princess Yachts.
Mathew Hornsby, sales director at Williams Performance Tenders, said: “The Minijet is a truly unique package for the smaller boat owner, with no compromise on the factors that matter most, remaining true to our core quality, performance and design engineering excellence.”
Power will come from BRP Rotax Ace 900 engines, making for a top speed in excess of 30 knots.
Prices and optional extras are due to be confirmed nearer to the Cannes Yachting Festival launch of the Williams Minijet.
