British boatowners looking to monitor the safety of their boat remotely now have a new option, thanks to Broom Marine Services
You can now add boat security to the list of things you can monitor remotely via your smartphone, after Broom Marine Services announced that it will be importing Boatguard to the UK.
The Slovenian-made product provides information about on-board batteries, bilge pumps and GPS location.
This means you can be quickly alerted if there is an electrical fault, plumbing problem, or if your boat is being stolen.
With Boatguard, up to eight sensors can be fitted throughout your boat to give in-depth information on the state of your vessel.
You can also set up a geofence, so you are alerted if your boat leaves the marina without your say so.
Greg Houlston, general manager of Broom Marine Services, said of the launch: “As boat security is becoming an ever present concern for boat owners, we are delighted to have formed this new relationship with Boatguard.
“The unique ability for this security hardware to have extension modules added to it means a customer can almost bespoke the security device they want for their boat.”
Boatguard plans to add new features in the near future, including temperature and moisture alarms, as well as remote control of the air conditioning and lighting.
