With the Southampton Boat Show now only a matter of weeks away, we round up the 12 new boats that will be topping the bill
Nothing attracts brand new boats quite like the Southampton Boat Show, as this year’s line-up proves.
The organisers of this year’s event have already started building a 2km pontoon to house more than 300 vessels, but some are more noteworthy than others.
We’ve rounded up 12 of the best brand new models that are heading to Southampton to give you the ultimate guide of what to hunt down, and we’re starting with a biggie…
Fairline Targa 53
The first all-new model from Fairline Boats in two years, this new sportscruiser (pictured above) is a big standard bearer for the company.
And Fairline is so confident that they have already announced a sequel – the Squadron 53 – will be launched next year.
Interior renderings of the Targa 53 have already been released, but all we know about the engines is that there will be a choice between Volvo and Cummins.
Rest assured, this is a model we will be keeping a very close eye on…
Axopar 37
When we tested the Axopar 28 OC earlier this year, we raved about its fantastic seakeeping, so the news that its bigger sister is being launched at Southampton is very exciting indeed.
Available in T-Top or Cabin guises, this stylish Scandi sportsboat will be fitted with up to 2x300hp on the transom, which should make for a truly exciting ride.
Bavaria Sport 330
German manufacturer Bavaria has cranked up the fit and finish for the latest addition to its Sport range, which Jack Haines has already had the privilege of test driving.
And as if that wasn’t enough, the Bavaria stand will also see the UK debuts of the Sport 300 and Sport 450 models.
Fleming 78
Back in the territory of the big boys now, and Fleming will certainly stand out with its brand new 78 trawler yacht adorning Mayflower Marina.
This American giant is the largest model in the Fleming Yachts range and is sure to give plenty of showgoers round-the-world ambitions.
