The Italian yard has announced that the Azimut 72 flybridge model will be making its world debut in September at the Cannes Yachting Festival
This year’s Cannes Yachting Festival will see the world premier of the Azimut 72 flybridge, it has been announced.
Completely new from the hull upwards, the Azimut 72 is the result of “highly technical construction methods” involving a lot of carbon fibre, the manufacturer tells us.
Exterior styling by Pierluigi Ausonio includes a new one-piece hull window and dramatically raked saloon windows.
And the interior is every bit as opulent as you might expect from a large Azimut flybridge, with a choice between light oak and ebony (pictured above) or dark oak and sicomoro frise.
Below decks, the layout includes a master cabin with en-suite bathroom, three spacious guest cabins plus a crew quarters.
What’s more, the Azimut 72 certainly won’t be lacking in power thanks to the twin MAN 1,400hp engine set up, which should be good for a top speed in excess of 30 knots.
The new model, which replaces the outgoing Azimut 70, will join the previously-announced Azimut Magellano 66 on the Italian brand’s pontoon at the Cannes Yachting Festival from September 8-13.
