We continue our series on the most exciting launches at the London Boat Show with the Sunseeker Predator 68
As the wake settles over the launch of the Predator 80 last September, the 68 arrives at London ready to stir things up all over again.
There’s no arguing that these latest Predator designs are upping the ante in terms of visual oomph. The carbon-effect wrap has once again been liberally dished out across the hardtop and windscreen surrounds.
And, like the 80, the amount of glazing has increased both in the sunroof and the topsides, which now feature near full-length strips of glass.
With the saloon and cockpit blending into one thanks to a set of sliding glass doors, the main deck is a ready-made party platform.
The cockpit has a run of seating which takes up the entire starboard side, while there’s enough space on the sunpad to host a yoga class. The cockpit wet-bar is also likely to take a lot of punishment given the 68’s galley-down layout.
The combination of tender garage and hi-lo bathing platform should ensure plenty of scope for water toys when you’re finished throwing the big boat around, although with twin 1,270hp MTUs propelling this 37-tonne brute to 33 knots flat out, that’s not going to be anytime soon.
Unlike its big sister though, there is no option for surface drives on the Predator 68.
There are three cabins below decks, all of which are ensuite. The master cabin gets the largest portion of glass although the forward VIP comes a close second thanks to oversized ports and a strip of glazing above the bed.
