The Sunseeker simulator will give showgoers the chance to experience what it’s like to drive a motoryacht in a Force 12 hurricane
Show organisers have rolled out yet another reason to visit the 2015 CWM FX London Boat Show (9-18 January) in the form of the Sunseeker simulator from Raymarine.
The boating technology company has created a navigation simulator that allows visitors a chance to take the helm of a motoryacht without leaving the confines of the Excel Centre.
And to add a little extra glamour to proceedings, the helm has been custom designed to mirror the bridge on a Sunseeker Predator (pictured above).
Professional training software and large video screens will simulate various sea states that users can interact with, from a calm and sunny day right through to a Force 12 hurricane.
The Sunseeker simulator is part of the London Boat Show’s new Datatag Lab, which also features a weather forecasting exhibit from the Met Office and an interactive dancefloor created by Landau UK.
Meanwhile, the Datalab theatre will host expert talks from the likes of Sir Robin Knox-Johnson, the designers of Ben Ainslie’s racing yacht, and former Yachtsman of the Year Bob Shepton.
Advance tickets for the 2015 CWM FX London Boat Show are on sale now, with prices starting at £10 per adult.
New models set to launch at the show include the Sunseeker Predator 57, the Fairline Shadow S, and the Jeanneau Velasco 37F.
