The French manufacturer has confirmed that the Jeanneau Velasco 37F will be unveiled at the 2015 CWM FX London Boat Show
Jeanneau has announced that it will be launching a new compact flybridge model at the 2015 CWM FX London Boat Show (9-18 January).
Dubbed the Jeanneau Velasco 37F, the new arrival will be unveiled on Stand C430 during the nine-day event at the Excel Centre.
Not to be outdone by their French rivals Beneteau (who are making their return to the London show after a four-year absence), Jeanneau has confirmed a fleet of 12 powerboats that will also be on display.
Models from the Cap Camarat, Merry Fisher, NC and Leader ranges, ranging from 15ft to 40ft, will accompany the star of the show, the Velasco 37F.
MBY’s boat test editor Jack Haines is eager to step on board this new model: “Despite the original Velasco’s trawler intentions, the 37F is basically a 38ft flybridge boat; not something you often see these days.”
“The layout doesn’t feature any new suprises but the use of space seems sensible,” he adds.
Owners will get a twin guest cabin amidships and a master cabin in the bows, which will share the spacious washroom.
The only engine option will be a shaftdrive set-up of twin Volvo Penta D4s (300hp), which will give a likely top speed of around 30 knots.
The estimated on-the-water price of around £250,000 should also help make this new model a big draw for families looking for a new flybridge at the London Boat Show.
News of the Jeanneau Velasco 37F comes in the same week that sister-brand Prestige Motor Yachts announced a redesigned interior for the 620, 620S, and 500 models.
