Princess S72 to make UK debut at British Motor Yacht Show

The new Sportsbridge yacht from Princess will premiere at Swanwick Marina on 16 May

Princess has confirmed that the S72, its new S-class Sportsbridge motor yacht, will be getting its first public outing in the UK next week (16 May).

Due to be unveiled as part of the British Motor Yacht Show (16-18 May), the S72 generated a lot of fuss when it first broke cover in Miami back in February.

Featuring a deep-V hull and a low centre of gravity, the S72 has a top speed in excess of 37 knots, thanks to a choice of Caterpillar or MAN engines, ranging from 1,622hp to 1,800hp.

The 74-footer also boasts a three-cabin layout with room enough for a 3.9m long tender in the garage area.

Princess fans will get their first chance to take a look around the S72 at Swanwick Marina next week, as part of the show, which also features a wide range of new and used Sunseeker and Fairline models.

Pete Bradshaw, chief executive at Premier Marinas, said: “Last year’s show was a massive success all round, and we are proud that Swanwick Marina’s beautiful surroundings will once again provide the backdrop for this unique event, bringing together three of the biggest names in British motor yacht sales.”
