Motorboats and Formula One cars came together at Monaco over the weekend, with the new arrival from Vector Martini making the biggest waves
The eyes of the motorsport world were trained on Monaco over the weekend (23-25 May) for the most spectacular event in the Formula One calendar.
However, it wasn’t the cars that caught our eye, as a legendary powerboat racing name was also making an appearance – its first in 20 years.
As we reported last month, Martini has returned to the world of motorboat racing by teaming up with Vector.
And their creation, the V40R powerboat was unveiled at the Monaco GP, with Williams Martini racing drivers Felipe Massa and Valtteri Bottas being treated to a ride across the Monte Carlo harbour.
In the video below, we hear from Mal Crease, CEO and founder of Vector, who claims that the V40R, with its staggering 110mph top speed, is loudest and fastest boat in Monaco.
Those claims will be put to the test at this year’s Venture Cup (June 7-22), when Vector Martini will go head-to-head with the best in the business.
