The Suffolk Section of the Cruising Association has organised a seminar day for coastal cruisers, covering many aspects of life afloat
Boat owners hoping to do more coastal cruising will have a chance to broaden their horizons at this autumn’s Cruising Association seminar ‘A View to Cruising’.
The Suffolk Section of the national cruising organisation will be playing host to this one-day training event, which will take place on 25 October.
Planned in association with the Royal Harwich Yacht Club, which is providing its Woolverstone HQ as the venue, the seminar aims to cover all the key aspects of life afloat.
Eight talks have been planned, with a particular emphasis on how to manage your affairs while spending three to four months exploring at sea.
Topics include destinations, insurance, keeping in touch, forward planning, paperwork, foreign regulations, and equipment.
David Sadler, joint secretary of the Suffolk Section of the CA, said: “Living aboard is not the same as holidaying aboard. Things like mattresses and cookers need to be upgraded for easier living.”
