Nick Burnham takes a look at a used Sunseeker sportscruiser that is available for less than £20,000
Sunseekers have a reputation for being fabulously well made but also fabulously pricey. In our latest used boat test video we aim to prove the second half of that reputation wrong.
Nick Burnham has tracked down a Sunseeker Mustang, a 20ft model that was built from 1986 to 1993 and can now be bought for less than £20,000.
Similar to the Tomahawk 37, but scaled down to fit a much shorter hull, this mini Sunseeker ticks a lot of the right boxes.
Sporting a supercharged Volvo diesel engine, the 170bhp sportscruiser boasts plenty of thrills as well as fine detailing throughout.
The compact layout includes a double berth cabin below the fore deck, as well as two deep bucket seats for high-speed cruising and a rear deck for sunbathing.
Nick takes the Mustang out onto the water and enjoys the soft ride, despite the moderate amount of spray that is thrown up by the hull.
