Jeanneau go back to basics with this walkaround sportsfisher.
Jeanneau is arguably the most innovative and revolutionary builder out there. It’s motorboat range has more varieties tha Heinz. Even it’s stalwart Merry Fisher wheelhouse models offer that bit more thought and consideration than most.
But for some folk, who just want a simple boat, Jeanneau may have evolved a comfy cushion too far. Which is why the new Marlin range, with its walkaround decks, forward raked wheelhouses and side doors, will make some of you out there very happy.
The 755 model featured here is the 24ft mid-range option, with a 20ft cutie at the lower end and a 27-footer at the other. All are outboard powered and share the same hulls as the‘ordinary’Merry Fishers, and for reference we’ve included a panel on the MF 755 to see how the two differ.
The Marlin 755 can be dressed up in the same way as other MFs, with ‘Premier’upgrades that include the likes of a pressurised water system, sunroof and coloured hull but it differs in that it has two deck layout configurations – the Fishing layout – as seen here – and the Comfort layout.

Verdict
Decks are always a boon but in this instance the payoffs clearly make the Marlin a boat aimed towards sportsfishing types than those wanting a mini cabin- cruiser. Of course, its name is the giveaway and if you are that way inclined you get what's on the tin. The ordinary MF 755 suits those wanting more accommodation.
