Get down to the Hoe this weekend to see the Powerboat P1 SuperStock fleet tear up the water
The Powerboat P1 SuperStock series heads to Plymouth this weekend, where MBY’s very own sponsored boat will be looking to maintain its place at the top of the championship leaderboard.
The race is the centrepiece of what will be a great weekend of entertainment in the south-western city, including fly pasts, yacht racing and PWC displays.
There will be three P1 races – 4pm Saturday and 11.30am and 1pm on Sunday – just beneath the Hoe, which will give spectators a great view of the action on the water.
MBY Allam Marine tops the standings after winning the first race weekend of the season in Hull in early June, but rival team Pertemps is right behind, which should mean some hard-fought racing.
Powerboat P1’s championship manager Lisa Barsby said: “Plymouth will be buzzing this weekend and we are looking forward to being part of the city’s celebrations and festivities.
“In addition to our two national race series, we will be staging a dazzling display of jet ski acrobatics and high-speed tricks with freestyle champion Jack Moule entertaining the crowds next to Mayflower Steps.”
