American rockers keep the faith in a super-fast RIB on the Thames
Big-haired rockers Bon Jovi have been spotted blazing down the Thames in high-speed RIB.
The legendary rock band, including lead singer Jon Bon Jovi and bandmates Richie Sambora, David Bryan and Tico Torres, marked the of end of their residency at the O2 arena.
The 50-minute trip, which passed iconic London landmarks such as the London Eye, St Paul’s Cathedral and the Tower of London, was secretly organised with the Thames-based charter company London RIB Voyages.
The Humber RIB has twin Evinrude 200HP engines and can reach a top speed of 45 knots.
Jon Bon Jovi said, “it was a seriously James Bond-like experience”.
It is the second time that the rock star has ventured out on the river.
As a huge fan of Winston Churchill, Jon Bon Jovi was thrilled to pass Havengore, an 85ft teak motorboat built in 1954, which carried Churchill down the Thames during his state funeral.
RIBs rides can be chartered for £365 per hour, see http://www.londonribvoyages.com/ for more details.
