With a bleak weather outlook the MBM team and cruise participants call a halt
Best laid plans
Crews awoke to bright, sunny and still morning in Clarence, it was such a difference from the previous dismal days, but all was not what it seemed. An early morning weather check revealed that it had been blowing a Force 6 in the channel overnight and it had not settled.
With Wednesday and Thursday still looking like the only good days and weather coming in again on Friday it left only a small window of opportunity for the fleet to cross the channel and back. Talks and discussions with participants continued and at a 1pm breifing on decision was made to abort the cruise.
