A new firm called Photonautique.com are offering a service that claims to transform regular boating photographs into stunning pieces of photo-art.
Owners simply send their favourite photograph or photographs to Photonautique, select one of a series of predetermined art styles, frame type and size, and a team of specialist graphic artists set to work creating a lasting and totally unique print that’s delivered ready to hang.
There are eight different styles to choose from, including watercolours, impressionist and traditional sepia. If owners have more than one favourite photograph they can combine them into a lifestyle montage where individual images are blended together – even the boat name can be added to complete the picture.
Photnautique customers include owners of yachts, flybridge cruisers, narrowboats, jetskis and even hovercraft!
The website gives all the information needed, and includes a gallery of recently created commissions to give visitors an idea of some of the possibilities.
Orders can be placed online or by post, and a proof showing the print in the chosen frame is submitted to the customer before framing and delivery within a claimed 10 days of order confirmation. Once approved the printing, framing and delivery is completed in a further 10 days.
