Free day at Hamble Marine
Hamble Marine is holding a free open day giving advice on converting and running your boat on LPG this Saturday, 12 May.
Staff from Hamble Marine will be present to answer questions and give advice about converting your boat to run on LPG. Staff from installation firms will be present to talk through what’s involved in converting your boat to run on LPG. Also there will be boat owners who have done it already and know first hand the pitfalls and benefits.
If you place an order for a conversion kit for your boat on the day you can take advantage of a 5% discount.
The marina price of LPG is currently around 45p/litre and is not expected to rise when the duty on diesel increases in 2008.
Hamble Marine say: “As far as we know, this is the first time that a marine gas/LPG company has held a public open day to which boat owners are invited to come and see for themselves just what running a boat on LPG means.
“In addition to the trade, there will be at least three owners of gas powered boats present, with their boats, to talk through their experiences.”
Darren Morgan of Flogas UK Ltd will be present and his company are donating a BBQ unit as the prize in a free raffle.
The event runs from 10am till 4pm at Hamble Marine Ltd, Mariners Quay, Shore Road,
Warsash, SO31 9FR (on the River Hamble by the
Harbour Masters office).
