Fairline announce plans for a new 50ft sportscruiser
Fairline have announced plans to build a Targa 50 Gran Turismo. This comes on the back of the launch of the much anticipated Targa 58 Gran Turismo at the Tullett Prebon London Boat Show.
Fairline CEO Derek Carter revealed plans to build the new 50 GT as well as a Squadron 50 in 2010.
Styling cues and design features are heavily borrowed from the 58, like the master cabin located in the bows and serious amounts of glazing around the cockpit and in the topsides. There are two guest cabins on board, one of which is ensuite.
The intricate cockpit door system has been replaced with a hinged window but combine that with the electric side windows and breezes should be able to flitter through cockpit with ease.
At the stern, the Targa 50 GT will get an electric bimini to cover the expansive dining area in the cockpit and a derivative of the neat tender launching system first seen on the 58 will be installed on the bathing platform.
