More modern thinking from Sealine
What is it?: Sealine’s phantasmagorical design motifs manifest themselves in their latest twin-cabin sportscruiser, with the bonus of CMD’s new Zeus drives for handling and fuel efficiency.
Worth seeing because: Its smaller sibling, the SC35, is a cracking boat, and there’s a good chance that the SC47 might be even better.
The SC47 has a larger and slicker version of the SC35’s fantastic convertible roof system – probably the most likeable and most versatile roof system we’ve ever tried on a sportscruiser. At 14ft 8in (4.48m) wide, the SC47 is a beamy boat, but if it can emulate the SC35, then it holds the promise of a remarkable heavy-weather ride and great composure.
Sealine’s sportscruiser flagship is driven along by CMD’s answer to Volvo’s IPS system, the Zeus pod-drive, which promises similarly impressive fuel efficiencies and the unmatched manoeuvrability of joystick handling.
Thanks to the decision to ditch the archetypal space-swallowing tender garage and fit compact Zeus drives, the cockpit is huge, the owner’s cabin is huge, and the saloon looks, well, even bigger than huge, at least on Sealine’s impressive 3D drawings. Here’s hoping they haven’t cheated!
